The Astounding Magic of New Zealand.
Grand, serene, broad and deep, the Maori probably give the most applicable fable for the origins of this striking part of the world. A God helped by four younger sea Gods drew these fiords into how they saw nature in its paramount splendour. These Sounds have since made for the most amazing scenery of total wilderness accessible for any traveller to relish. Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound are on the southern west coast of New Zealand’s South Island. These Fiords will captivate the spectator whether by rain or with the sun glistening on the water below the majestic mountainous environment. Mountains that stand tall, cascading upwards from the sea with their theatrical splendour to host their roaring waterfalls and lavish tropical vegetations. Tropical foliage and wildlife that articulates every mood of what this untouched nature has to offer. Cruising around these scenic splendours, whether on a luxury ship or stealing your way into creeks by kayaks, the feeling of this timeless canopy is bound to submerge the traveller’s mind into what the magic of New Zealand is all about. The options of how to explore these sounds are open to all ages and variants, trekking, cruising, kayaking or flying, New Zealanders never fall short to astound. No aspect of this country is in any way forsaken in its diversity of sports, ease to travel, accommodation, and its singular natural environment. Whether you prefer to relax for a day or a week or more on a family beach vacation, ski the Southern Alps or set out to sea for the big fish. Everywhere, from New Zealand’s ultimate southern Stuwart Island committed to eco-tourism, through the vibrancy of Queenstown, and up beyond the straights to the northern tip of North Island, they have it all. They have it in that very unique style that makes any travel, stay or business trip here an unforgettable experience echoed by the very names of histories great navigators.

I have wanted to go to New Zealand since my father a retired sea captain told me that out of all the places he had been it was the only place he would move to! You make what he said a reality, thanks!
land of the long white cloud
This one deserves 5 stars and a High Five all the way.
I've always wanted to go to New Zealand since watching Richard Attenborough's The Life of Birds.

Thanks for that. When you're living and working in a reasonable sized (1 Million+) city it's easy to forget how beautiful the country beyond the city limits is. I must make it back to the South Island again. Perhaps this summer.
